Vikram Mehra joined Saregama India as Managing Director in Oct ’14. Vikram holds a B.E.
Degree in Computer Science & Technology from IIT Roorkee and an MBA from IIM Lucknow.
Prior to joining Saregama he worked at Tata Sky for 10 years, holding positions of Chief
Commercial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. During his term he was responsible for
multiple roles including Subscription Revenue Management, Churn Management, Brand
Marketing, New Product Development, Customer Analytics, Interactive Service Operations,
Consumer Research and PR.
He has also worked with the Star TV as Vice President for 4 years from 2000-2004. He was part
of the Digital Platforms Group, that spearheaded Star’s foray into DTH and cable services in
India.
Vikram is a TAS (Tata Administrative Services) officer and has done stints with various Tata
Group of Companies including Tata Motors and TCS.
Vikram is currently the Chairman of Indian Music Industry, the apex body representing music
companies in India, and also sits on the board of IPRS, the Govt. registered performing rights
society of India.
